Compare Voip Service Providers- Saving You Money
Saving money - something all businesses and owners try and do by crunching numbers, eliminating additional expenses, and dropping programs that don't produce an ROI. One way businesses find help cut costs is switching to a different phone system solution that uses the Internet to place calls instead of a traditional line.
VoIP solutions or a VoIP service typically can lower bills if your company places international calls, has employees all over the country, and conducts conference calls frequently because it uses the Internet-all you need is the Internet service. This technology has been around for years; however, it used to be unreliable or poor sound quality. Today, this technology has solid with very few dropped calls, crisp sound and capabilities for additional features like call forwarding, conferencing, etc.
When shopping for a VoIP service, here are a few things you should consider:
- Do you want a hosted system, or a XX system? If you plan to switch offices soon, or grow signficantly, you may want a hosted system where the equipment is located at a remote location by the provider. This type also allows for less equipment.
- What are you really to pay? Look at your current bills and figure out a percentage savings that makes sense to switch. VoIP services can vary - $30/month to even several thousand (if you operate a large corporation - 500 employees +).
- What features will you need? Quite honestly, let's forget voicemail and call waiting as those aren't really considered features today. Faxing options, directory assistance, call blocking, call transfer, multi-ring tones, telemarketer blocking, toll free numbers are the advance options you'll want to consider.
- How much call volume do you make? This doesn't matter for costs, but it does for connection. If you and your company makes a large volume of calls, you may want to consider a dedicated internet connection. Remember, your internet connection must be compatible with the requirements of the system so research this before you choose a provider.
