Addition of Magic Jack Plus Means Growth for Canadian VoIP Market
The recent unveiling of Magic Jack Plus has meant some additional traffic in the Canadian VoIP market, not to mention more competition for older service providers such as Skype and Vonage.
According to a report from MJ Service, the launch of MJP will give users more options in the market, with the handful of providers looking to outdo each other at every chance possible. Along with MJP, both NetTalkDuo and Ooma also made their debuts in the Great White North, leading experts to believe that there will be an impact with the conventional land line service operators, too.
As experts within the VoIP industry point out, services like MJP have the opportunity to impact land line telephone services , mostly due to the fact that the technology has been greatly upgraded in just the last 10 years.
MJP, along with the other providers mentioned offers cheap, unlimited calls nationwide through Canada and the U.S. minus a computer. The company also is reportedly looking at providing video calling availability sooner rather than later.
To date, Skype and Vonage have been major forces in Canada, but reported poor call quality has led some to look elsewhere for VoIP needs, especially to services like MJP and NetTalkDuo, who both can offer up quality service that is economical to boot.
As the telecom sector continues to grow not only in Canada but also in the U.S., the stakes continue to grow for VoIP service providers who see an opportunity to dial-in to more business.
